Minute books of the Fremont Club, 1856, and the Republican Club, 1860, in Richfield, N.Y.; the Morrisonville Lodge of the Independent Order of Good Templars, 1883-1884; and the Board of Directors of the Bank of Plattsburgh, 1825-1828. Also, road surveyor's field book, Clinton County, 1878; land survey by Philip Rykert of J. Thurman's property in 12th township, Totten & Crossfields Purchase, 1800. Church records include membership roll of centenary fund, classes, and societies of Methodist Church, Peru Circuit, 1839-1861; minutes of Sunbeam Band of West Plattsburgh Baptist Church, 1897-1906; minutes of Cumberland Head Chapel Association, 1930-1949; minutes of Ladies' Aid Society of the Methodist Church, Ellenburg, 1912-1914; and account book of the Rosary Society, St. John's Catholic Church, 1908-1914. Military records include record of clothing and equipment issued to the men in Capt. Myndert M. Dox's company at Plattsburgh, 1813-1815; and a transcribed copy of the journal and logs of Capt. William Chambers, Royal Navy, 1779-1783.

Richard Howe, Earl Howe, was born in London, England, on March 19, 1726, the son of Emanuel Scrope Howe (1699-1735) and Mary Sophia Charlotte von Kielmansegg (1703-1782). Around 1735, he joined the crew of the merchant ship Thames, and in July 1739 he joined the 40-gun Royal Navy ship Pearl .
